Your new role:

This is an exciting opportunity to step into a senior clinical education and leadership role within Cancer Care Services, where you will influence patient outcomes through education, innovation and advanced practice.  You will:

  • Provide advanced clinical leadership and specialist nursing expertise in the delivery of safe, high-quality cancer care
  • Design, implement and evaluate evidence-based education and training programs for nursing staff across Cancer Care Services
  • Lead workforce development initiatives, fostering a culture of continuous learning, research and professional excellence
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to drive clinical governance, quality improvement and best practice care

About you:

You are a passionate and experienced nursing professional who thrives on developing others and driving excellence in patient care through education and leadership. You are:

  • A Registered Nurse with current registration and demonstrated advanced clinical expertise in cancer care or a related specialty
  • Experienced in education, training, and workforce development, with the ability to translate evidence into practice
  • A strong leader with communication and interpersonal skills, andthe ability to influence, mentor and inspire teams
  • Committed to quality improvement, research and delivering person-centred care in a complex healthcare environment

Unit Profile

The Cancer Care Service (CCS) and Day Therapy Unit (DTU) delivers patient-centred care through a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach, working in partnership with patients and their families. The service provides supportive day-admission therapy for patients requiring treatment related to medical oncology, haematology and associated supportive care needs.
