About the role
Temporary full-time opportunities to cover backfill over the next 12 months in the:
- Director of Nursing / Facility Manager Gatton Health Service
- Director of Nursing / Facility Manager Esk and Laidley Health Service
- Director of Nursing / Facility Manager Boonah Health Service
The Director of Nursing / Facility Manager role is responsible for the provision of strategic and operational leadership, management and coordination of the rural health facility, ensuring the provision of an expert patient focused service that meets the legislative standards of care and needs of the community. The management of staff includes nursing, midwifery, operational, administrative, health professionals, technical and other support staff.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Demonstrated high level knowledge of contemporary nursing practice and capacity in leadership skills and management practices to engage and motivate stakeholders to achieve quality patient outcomes and productivity targets.
- Demonstrated commitment to outcome-driven performance and organisational achievement.
- Demonstrated proficiency to work effectively within a leadership team to meet the demands of complex healthcare environments in a rural health service.
- Demonstrated high-level interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills, ability to consult, negotiate, and liaise effectively with (internal and external) key stakeholders, patients, their families and/or carers.
- Demonstrated advanced level knowledge and understanding of the key concepts of national and state health legislation, policies, frameworks and standards.
- Exemplifies the West Moreton Health Professional Practice Model by demonstrating person-centred care, professional excellence, safe and effective care delivery, commitment to quality and safety, and collaborative practice
