About the Role
Permanent flexible full‑time opportunity to contribute to client care through the provision of clinical support tasks within the multidisciplinary Healthy Ageing Assessment and Rehabilitation Team (HAART), under the direction and supervision of an allied health professional.
The Healthy Ageing Assessment and Rehabilitation Team is part of the Rehabilitation Service Stream within Community and Oral Health and provides rehabilitation close to home to improve wellbeing, functional capacity, independence, and quality of life.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Follow defined service quality standards, occupational health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.
- Provide a defined range of clinical screening assessments as delegated and allowed by testing guidelines and legislation.
- Provide a defined range of treatments as prescribed by multidisciplinary health professionals and work under their delegation and supervision. This may include using decision support tools, clinical pathways, and patient-specific guidelines.
- Initiate changes to treatment programs using results from standardised assessment tools.
- Provide basic education on a defined range of topics to patients or groups of patients.
