About the role:

  • Provide contemporary, evidence-based ENT care as a key member of the surgical multidisciplinary team.
  • Manage a diverse clinical load across outpatient, inpatient, and after-hours on-call services.
  • Lead the CQHHS surgical outreach program, delivering ENT services to regional hospitals such as Biloela, Emerald, and Gladstone.
  • Exercise clinical autonomy within your approved scope of practice under the guidance of the Head of ENT.
  • Drive continuous improvement through active participation in clinical audits, research, and quality safety activities.
  • Mentor the next generation of clinicians by contributing to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching initiatives.

About you:

  • You hold current registration as a Specialist General Practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia.
  • You are a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) or the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM).
  • You possess proven clinical experience and surgical skills across a broad range of Otolaryngology procedures.
  • You demonstrate strong leadership in directing patient care, from initial assessment through to discharge.
  • You are a clear and concise communicator, capable of consulting and negotiating within a complex team environment.
  • You are committed to ongoing learning and maintaining the high college-mandated standards of your specialty.
  • You are willing to travel across Central Queensland to ensure our regional communities receive the care they need.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $403,098 p.a. is comprised of:

  • A salary rate between $187,569 - $216,643 p.a. (L13-L14; L13-L18)
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
