About you:
In your new role you will:
- Prioritise, receipt, track, retrieve and manage patient medical records both paper and electronically for all clinical units across the hospital campus.
- Ensure security of patient information with reference to the National Privacy Principles.
- Batch scanning and validating patient documentation into ieMR (integrated electronic medical record), with a high level of attention to detail to ensure a quality patient record.
- Perform general duties related to maintenance and care of patient records and the Kofax information system used to scan these files.
- Support clinical business units with their medical record requirements.
- Generate scanning and data maintenance reports through the ieMR to help facilitate with error corrections.
- Uploading of electronic files from other information systems directly into the ieMR.
- Administer release of information in accordance with relevant legislation, policy and statutory requirements. This includes mid-level interpretation and communication of patient information contained within the medical record and other hospital information systems to authorised external enquirers.
