About the role
Permanent flexible part-time opportunity to deliver efficient and effective administrative support to patients, members of the public and hospital staff who utilise Administration services. The role supports the development, implementation and maintenance of efficient systems and processes that ensure timely and accurate patient administration and contribute to high-quality patient care at The Prince Charles Hospital.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Queensland Health's core values, as outlined above.
- Provide first point of call, reception and telephone response service for patients and/or relatives and ensure re-direction to the appropriate area for care by health professionals, using tact, diplomacy and discretion.
- Provide a high standard of keyboard and word processing services, provide high standard of data integrity
- Ability to move within departments and work areas.
- Perform duties such as searches, admissions, booking Public and private appointments and discharges of patients both public and private on the Hospital Based Corporate Information System (HBCIS) including the completion of associated paperwork as per District policy and departmental procedures.
