Lead complex industrial matters at scale
You are recognised as a specialist in industrial relations.
We are seeking an experienced industrial relations professional to lead high-stakes workforce matters across one of Queensland's largest and most complex public sector environments. You will play a key role in enterprise bargaining, dispute management, and industrial advocacy, working directly with senior executives, unions and government stakeholders on issues that are often sensitive, contested and system-wide in impact.
This is a role with real influence, visibility and impact.
About the role
As Principal Advisor, you will operate at the centre of significant industrial and workforce matters across Queensland Health.
You will:
- Lead and support enterprise bargaining processes, including negotiations and conciliation
- Manage industrial disputes and emergent workforce issues
- Provide high-level strategic advice to senior executives
- Prepare briefs, submissions and correspondence on complex matters
- Represent Queensland Health in negotiations, forums and commission proceedings
- Contribute to system-wide workforce and IR strategy
This is fast-paced, high-impact work where your advice directly influences organisational outcomes.
About you
You are not a generalist, you are a specialist in industrial relations.
We are looking for:
- Strong experience in enterprise bargaining and industrial negotiations
- Demonstrated capability in industrial advocacy or tribunal/commission matters
- Ability to provide clear, confident advice on complex and sensitive issues
- Proven skills in negotiation, influencing and stakeholder management
- High-level written skills where you are able to produce concise, executive-ready briefs
- Sound judgement, resilience and the ability to operate in high-pressure environments
- Applications with commensurate experience in the Fair Work system are encouraged to apply.
