About us:
Gladstone Hospital is a 79-bed hospital and offers a range of general and specialist inpatient and outpatient services including emergency, general medicine and surgery, basic orthopaedic, clinical investigation, obstetrics, maternity, gynaecology, high dependency and coronary care, palliative care, neonatal nursery, medical imaging, pathology and paediatrics. Gladstone Hospital has approximately 282 full time equivalent staff delivering services across acute, community and primary care.
About the role:
- The Clinical Nurse Facilitator provides leadership and contribute to the development of clinical practice by:
- Planning, developing, facilitating and evaluating evidence based clinical education.
- Actively engaging in quality activity and research projects and enabling a research culture.
- Modelling active engagement in professional partnerships/networks across the education/research continuum.
- Deliver an advanced standard of patient care including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation by using clinical nursing expertise including for patients with complex care needs.
- Ability to provide clinical supervision, clinical education and up-skilling to nurses to achieve a skilled capable workforce in line with professional workforce standards.
- Promote a learning culture by encouraging reflection and professional development, providing clinical teaching, in-service education, and assisting/supporting others to maintain portfolios/records of learning.
- Contribute to the support of undergraduate and post graduate students.
About you:
- Current registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Registered Nurse.
- A relevant postgraduate certificate or post graduate diploma is an expectation of this position. Where the successful applicant does not currently hold this qualification, commitment to completion within an agreed timeframe is expected and will form part of the performance and development
- Demonstrated ability to provide leadership, percept staff and contribute to professional nursing practice with confidence and integrity.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver a high-quality service with the primary focus on achievement of organisational goals for the good of others.
- Proven ability to comprehensively assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care at an advanced level within a complex environment.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $9,238 p.m. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $57.48 - $61.55 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
