Your opportunity: 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Psychologist with experience in an acute mental health inpatient setting to join our team. The Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service has opened a 22 bed Acute Mental Health Inpatient Unit in Hervey Bay with an established multidisciplinary team to better service our consumers. The Senior Psychologist will have the below responsibilities:

  • Provide high level clinical, specialised Mental Health and psychology assessment, counselling and brief intervention to mental health consumers within a multidisciplinary mental health Team.
  • The position is responsible for providing consultancy, education and supportive or therapeutic programs for individuals and specific target groups.
  • The Psychologist-Senior position utilises broad psychological knowledge and clinical skills to independently manage a complex case load including the ability to effectively analyse and make clinical decisions to deliver a range of evidence based therapeutic interventions.

Our offer:

You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $82,821 p.a., comprising salary rates $64.64  - $69.56 p.h., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP4) (Permanent Part Time, 40 hours p.f.).
