Clinical Nurse Day Stay Plus Program

The Clinical Nurse (CN) at EBFC within the DSPP, delivers safe and compassionate clinical care. The CN provides advanced clinical and problem-solving skills, expert planning and coordination skills in the clinical management of families with complex care needs, ensuring quality standards are met. This role works autonomously within the Healthcare Team structure and is pivotal in the planning, managing and delivering of specialist nursing care. This role is pivotal in the planning, managing, and delivering safe, quality and clinically effective child and family health nursing care in a tertiary level community health settling. The CN provides clinical leadership for professional and clinical practice, education and research.

About the Team
The Day Stay Plus Program is a short-term specialised integrated service that provides parenting support for families with children from birth to the child's first birthday, with a focus on the early parent/carer-infant relationship. The program is co-facilitated by 0-4 Child and Youth Community Health Service (CYMHS) and Ellen Barron Family Centre (EBFC) clinicians. The program is located within EBFC.
About the Role
In this role you will coach and support others to deliver for children, young people and families (Leader of Others) in accordance with the Children's Health Queensland Leadership Excellence Framework and the Queensland Public Service and the CHQ values.
You'll fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Schedule 2, Nurses and Midwives (Queensland Health) Award - State 2015 - Generic Level Statements (GLS) Nurse Grade 6 Band 1 and the Queensland Health and Children's Health Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CHQHHS) commitments and values, in achievement of the organisational goals and Domains of Practice.
