About Your Role
As the Principal Advisor - QCAT, you will lead the design, implementation and evaluation of strategic initiatives that improve patient flow and outcomes across Metro South Health.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and deliver complex initiatives to improve patient flow
- Provide expert advice on QCAT, OPG and QPT processes
- Develop and implement systems, dashboards and reporting tools
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to resolve discharge barriers
- Prepare high-level reports, briefings and policy submissions
- Drive education, training and capability development across MSH
- Lead change management and service improvement initiatives
- Analyse data and performance metrics to inform decision-making
- Act as a key clinical and strategic reference point
- Support executive leadership with timely, evidence-based advice
About You
You are a highly experienced and strategic clinician with a strong understanding of complex healthcare systems, decision-making frameworks and patient flow challenges.
You will demonstrate:
- Advanced knowledge of QCAT and decision-making for adults with impaired capacity
- Proven ability to lead large-scale strategic initiatives
- Strong clinical background (Occupational Therapy or Social Work)
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills
- High-level communication and report writing capability
- Experience in change management and service redesign
- Ability to analyse complex data and translate into action
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence at executive level
- Experience working across hospital, community and external sectors
- Commitment to delivering patient-centred, equitable care
