Your new role:
This position is in the Metro South Child & Youth Mental Health Service that provides clinical and medical leadership in a multidisciplinary team within the Logan catchment area. Opportunities may be available across a wide range of clinical programs including CYMHS Community and various CYMHS speciality programs.
About you:
This role provides specialist child and adolescent psychiatric clinical care to patients and assumes overall responsibility for patient care. Services provided include:
- Provides specialist child and adolescent psychiatric services at Metro South Hospital and Health Service, within a multidisciplinary team.
- Participates in the after-hours on-call roster at Logan Hospital and the Metro South CYMHS business hours Child Psychiatrist on-call roster.
- Provides clinical leadership to a multidisciplinary team in aiming to consistently achieve key performance indicators.
- Provides supervision and teaching of registrars, junior doctors and medical students, and teaching for other members of the multidisciplinary team.
- Participation and/or leadership of research and quality improvement activities.
