The Role

An opportunity has become available for a Senior Finance Analyst to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

  • Provide high level financial and business advisory support to senior managers
  • Present quality financial, staffing and activity data for the division compared to budgets, targets, benchmarks, and key performance indicators
  • Monitor efficiency and optimisation strategies across the Division by utilising clinical benchmarking information
  • Identify a service line need for financial and activity-based information and respond to requests for information

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

  • While not mandatory, a relevant tertiary qualification such as Bachelor of Business, Commerce or Accounting would be highly desirable.
  • While not mandatory, experience in a health care setting in a business / operational environment would also be well regarded.
  • This position may potentially be required to move to other divisions within the GCHHS
  • Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
  • Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

  • Temporary full time (up to ten months, with the possibility of extension)
  • Base salary ranging from $4 791.30 - $5 132.30 per fortnight

Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service has finance teams within the divisions that play a pivotal role in sustaining a high performing and consultative Financial Performance Team. The Financial Performance Team is integrated into the operational business units providing a range of financial functions, including those activities associated with financial management, financial analysis, budget reporting, accrual accounting processes, activity-based funding analysis and general ledger activities.
