Your new role:

This is a unique opportunity to step into a Clinical Nurse – Clinical Facilitator role delivering expert, culturally responsive care and clinical leadership within a specialist First Nations health service.  You will:

  • Provide advanced clinical care and coordination for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients with complex needs
  • Lead and support nursing staff through clinical education, facilitation, and mentorship
  • Drive quality improvement, research, and evidence-based practice initiatives
  • Work autonomously while collaborating across multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes

About you:

You are an experienced and values-driven Registered Nurse passionate about improving health equity and supporting culturally safe care. You have:

  • Demonstrated advanced clinical skills and critical thinking in complex care environments
  • Strong understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health and cultural capability
  • Proven ability to lead, educate, and support staff development and learning
  • Commitment to quality improvement, research, and delivering person-centred care

Southern Queensland Centre of Excellence, Inala Indigenous Health Service 

The Southern Queensland Centre of Excellence (SQCoE) for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care forms part of the Directorate and is based at Inala providing the following services: -

  • Inala Indigenous Health Service
  • Integrated Mental Health and Substance Use Services
  • Elders and community representatives work, undertaking research projects with the aim to improve health outcomes for First Nations Peoples.
