About Us:
Cairns and Hinterland Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Service provide a range of innovative services, staffed by multidisciplinary teams with a broad mix of skills, knowledge and professional backgrounds. These currently include Community Services, Specialised Services, Acute and Sub-Acute Bed Based Services, Access Services and Rural Remote and Indigenous Services.
The primary catchment of Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Services covers the Cairns and Hinterland region incorporating various areas ranging from Mossman in the north, Tully in the south to Mareeba and Atherton in the west.

- Works closely and under the direction of the Team Leader and in collaboration with the Indigenous MH and AOD Service Coordinator, regarding mentorship of other Indigenous MH Workers participation in Local, NQ Regional and State-wide Indigenous Mental Health and AOD Service workforce initiatives.
- Actively participate in a working environment supporting quality human resource management practices, including employment equity, anti- discrimination, occupational health and safety, and ethical behaviour being aware of and adhering to legislative requirements, organisational policy, values and goals.
- This position may be required to work across multiple Adult Community Mental Health Teams in the Tablelands Mental Health and AOD Service.
