About Your New Role

As Executive Director, Allied Health Services, you will lead the strategic direction and performance of allied health across Gold Coast Health, delivering safe, high‑quality and person‑centred care at scale. As a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, you will provide professional leadership across tertiary hospitals, community services and future expansions, driving strong clinical governance, contemporary workforce practices and innovative models of care.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Shape the strategic direction of Gold Coast Health by providing expert advice on emerging allied health trends, contemporary practice and innovative models of care
  • Provide executive‑level leadership of Allied Health Services, ensuring a cohesive, whole‑of‑Hospital and Health Service approach to decision‑making and service delivery
  • Lead and develop a high‑performing senior allied health leadership team, enabling effective governance, performance management and workforce capability across a large, multidisciplinary portfolio
  • Champion a culture of excellence by embedding continuous improvement in safety, quality and clinical governance across allied health and rehabilitation services

Qualifications and Experience

  • A Tertiary degree (in one of the relevant disciplines): Audiology, Health Science, Dental Technology, Nutrition and Dietetics, Exercise Physiology or Human Movement Studies, Environmental Health, Music Therapy, Nuclear Medicine Technologist/Scientist, Applied Science, Occupational Therapy, Oral Health, Orthoptics, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Podiatry, Psychology, Radiography, Bachelor of Science, Science, Bio-Medical, Anatomy and Physiology, Medical/Health Sciences, Social Work, Sonography or Speech Pathology
  • AHPRA or relevant registration (if applicable)
  • Appropriate management and leadership experience and advanced training in business or healthcare is desirable
  • Thorough knowledge of modern management principles, practices and methods
  • Considerable knowledge of a university hospital/ health and knowledge precinct is desirable
  • Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
  • Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
  • Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
  • Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)
  • Blue Card/Working with children check (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

  • Permanent full time
  • Base salary $212,938 per annum
