Lead Respiratory Care

Metro South Health is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse to join Ward 7C Respiratory and General Medical at Logan Hospital. This permanent part-time Nurse Grade 6 (Band 1) role (64 hours per fortnight) provides advanced clinical leadership and specialist respiratory nursing care for patients with complex needs within a dynamic acute inpatient environment.

Your new role:

In this role you will provide advanced clinical leadership while delivering specialist respiratory nursing care in a complex acute setting.

• Provide expert clinical care and coordinate management of complex respiratory patients
• Lead and support nursing staff while contributing to education and professional development
• Participate in quality improvement, research and service development initiatives

About you:

You will be a confident clinical leader with advanced respiratory nursing expertise and a commitment to best practice care.

• Advanced clinical knowledge and problem-solving skills in respiratory nursing
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to support and mentor nursing teams
• Experience applying evidence-based practice and contributing to quality improvement

Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.

We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.

Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion.
