Your new role:
As the Nurse Unit Manager – Anaesthetics Nursing, you will provide advanced clinical and operational leadership to deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred care while driving service excellence across perioperative services by:
- Leading and coordinating Anaesthetics Nursing within Perioperative Services
- Delivering contemporary, evidence-based clinical practice and patient outcomes
- Managing human, financial and material resources to optimise service delivery
- Fostering a positive team culture focused on collaboration, learning and performance
- Driving quality improvement, clinical governance and risk management initiatives
- Supporting workforce development, education and succession planning
- Partnering with multidisciplinary teams to enhance care across the patient journey
About you:
You are a confident and capable nursing leader with strong clinical expertise in anaesthetics/perioperative services and a passion for delivering high-quality care by:
- Demonstrating advanced clinical knowledge and experience in Anaesthetic/Perioperative Nursing
- Bringing proven leadership experience with the ability to engage, motivate and develop teams
- Showing strong operational management capability including budgeting, rostering and resource allocation
- Applying sound clinical governance, quality improvement and risk management principles
- Communicating effectively with diverse stakeholders and influencing positive outcomes
- Driving evidence-based practice, innovation and continuous improvement
- Holding current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA and relevant tertiary qualifications

Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.
We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.
