Your new role:

In this role, you'll deliver specialised hand therapy services within a supportive, interprofessional team environment by:

  • Providing comprehensive assessment, treatment and patient education within the HEWT Clinic
  • Managing a clinical caseload with a focus on evidence-based, patient-centred care
  • Contributing to discharge planning and ongoing patient management
  • Participating in clinical education, including supervision of students and assistants
  • Supporting quality improvement and research activities within the service
  • Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary team members to achieve optimal patient outcomes

About you:

You are a motivated and collaborative clinician who is passionate about delivering high-quality hand therapy services, with:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification and AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist
  • Demonstrated ability (or developing capability) in hand therapy assessment and intervention
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Ability to manage workload, prioritise tasks and maintain accurate clinical documentation
  • Commitment to ongoing learning, professional development and clinical excellence
  • Interest or experience in education, supervision or service improvement activities

We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.

Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion.
