Your new role:

As an Associate Nurse Educator (ANE) in the Emergency Department, you will combine advanced clinical expertise with a passion for education to support and develop nursing staff. Working closely with the Nurse Educator, you'll play a key role in building workforce capability, driving best practice, and ensuring safe, high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

This is a dynamic leadership role where you will influence clinical practice, lead education initiatives, and support a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

In this role, you will:

  • Deliver and support clinical education programs aligned with best practice
  • Provide advanced clinical guidance and support to nursing staff
  • Lead and contribute to quality improvement and service development initiatives
  • Support workforce capability through mentoring, coaching and preceptorship

About you:

You are an experienced Emergency Nurse with a passion for education, leadership and improving patient outcomes. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are confident supporting and developing others.

You will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in clinical education, training or staff development
  • Advanced clinical knowledge and decision-making skills in emergency care
  • Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in quality improvement, clinical governance and evidence-based practice

About us:

The Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) is a Level 6 major referral centre, offering tertiary referral service to Brisbane South and surrounding areas. All adult specialities are provided with the exception of obstetrics, gynaecological and burns services. The PAH Emergency Department (ED) is one of the largest adult teaching hospital Emergency Departments in Australia. The Emergency Department attends to almost 70,000 patients each year and admits approximately 33% patients into the hospital for specialist care.  Within the Emergency Department is a designated ED Mental Health assessment area and a Toxicology Unit.
