Your new role:
You'll join the Mental Health Casual Pool as a Clinical Nurse, providing advanced clinical expertise and leadership across Emergency Departments, Acute Care Teams and other Metro South Addiction and Mental Health Services locations.
- Delivering advanced, recovery‑focused mental health nursing care, including comprehensive assessment, risk management and coordination of care.
- Providing clinical leadership, supporting decision‑making, and guiding the healthcare team in complex and high‑acuity environments.
- Contributing to service quality through participation in audits, incident review, quality improvement and adherence to clinical standards.
- Supporting education, mentoring and professional development of nursing staff and students across the service.
About you:
You're a capable, confident and collaborative mental health clinician who brings advanced practice skills and a commitment to high‑quality, person‑centred care. We're looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- Advanced mental health nursing expertise, including assessment, care planning, critical thinking and evidence‑based practice.
- Strong leadership capability with the ability to mentor others, coordinate shifts and contribute to a positive team culture.
- A commitment to continuous learning, reflective practice and supporting the development of colleagues and students.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams and diverse clinical environments.
