About the role
This position is responsible for providing appropriate and timely high level legal advice in support in a Queensland public hospital setting. This role focuses on the provision of employment law, workplace relations and safety advice, with the scope to expand your practice to generalist health law and commercial matters as required.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Provide pragmatic, independent, frank and fearless legal advice on potential and actual legal risks in employment law and employee relations matters and recommend appropriate action.
- Advise and provide advocacy as required on employee related proceedings in court and tribunals.
- Provide advice on investigations into workplace issues in accordance with organisational policy and legal requirements.
- Provide advice on public interest disclosures, including providing guidance to employees and management in relation to protections and obligations.
