About us:
Welcome to Central Queensland's mental health powerhouse, supporting over 250,000 people across Rockhampton, Yeppoon, Gladstone, Biloela, Moura, Woorabinda and the Central Highlands. Big reach, bigger impact.
Let's talk about Evolve Therapeutic Services (ETS), the elite squad within Child & Youth Mental Health. Based in Rockhampton, Emerald, and Gladstone, ETS is one of four specialised youth teams working together to support young people with complex needs. And the team? Think Avengers, but make it healthcare: social workers, psychologists, OTs, speech pathologists, nurses and psychiatrists all bringing their A-game.
ETS delivers intensive, trauma-informed support to kids and young people (0–18) who've been referred through Child Safety. It's meaningful, hands-on work that truly changes lives by supporting not just the young person, but their whole world.
About the role:
You'll be part of a multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality clinical care to children and young people facing complex mental health challenges. Think assessments, creative therapy approaches, and working not just with the young person but their whole support system.
Mix it up with individual, family, and system-level interventions, using a range of therapeutic styles to make change happen. It's hands-on, meaningful work where your clinical brain and your human side both get a workout. You'll also be supported by a Team Manager (no flying solo here), while growing your independence as your skills level up.
You'll handle the full clinical journey: assessment, diagnosis, treatment, follow-up, and discharge planning, plus collaborate with other professionals and services to keep care seamless and effective. Advocate hard for your clients, helping them and their families navigate complex systems and get the support they need.
About you:
- You've got the credentials; qualified (Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Social Work), registered, and ready to roll (with the paperwork to prove it).
- When it comes to clinical work, you've got a solid foundation. You understand recovery-focused mental health care and can confidently step into assessments, treatment planning, and case management without breaking a sweat.
- You contribute, collaborate and bring your perspective to a multidisciplinary crew, while still being open to learning, supervision, and growth.
- You can handle the basics and are ready to stretch. Whether it's straightforward cases or more complex presentations, you're keen to build your skills and take things to the next level.
