We're excited to welcome a Principal House Officer to the Department of Orthopaedics. The Principal House Officer provides day to day surgical services to patients presenting to the outpatient and inpatient areas of the hospital in an elective and emergency setting. The position also assists the Director, Staff Specialists and Senior Medical Staff to ensure that Orthopaedic services provided by the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service are of the highest standard and delivered in an efficient and effective manner.
Sunshine Coast Health is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

Key Responsibilities include:
• Provide services in accordance with the policies and procedures of Orthopaedic Surgery, the Health Service and Queensland Health.
• Maintain up to date clinical skills.
• Provide high quality, safe care and advice to patients presenting to the clinical areas of Orthopaedic Surgery.
Salary rates: $5,155.00 - $5,657.00 p.f., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (L4 - L7) (temporary full-time position, 76 hrs p.f.) for up to 9 months. Applications will remain current for 12 months / or the duration of the vacancy. Applications may be used to appoint to similar vacancies for a period up to 12 months after the closing date of the initial vacancy.
