An exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join the Emergency Department at Nambour General Hospital. Along with a multidisciplinary team, as the Registered Nurse you will play a vital role in delivering high quality, patient centred care.
The Department of Emergency Medicine provides non-discretionary 24-hour emergency care and is categorised by the Services Capability Framework as an Emergency Service Level 3 facility. This level of service provides initial treatment for all and definitive care for many, emergency presentations and the resuscitation and stabilisation of emergencies prior to transfer when required. The service is provided for both adults and children.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Adhere to defined service quality standards, health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.
- Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Schedule 2, Nurses and Midwives (Queensland Health Award) – State 2015 – Generic Level Statements Nurse Grade 5 and the Queensland Public Service values.
- Understand your broad responsibilities for safety and quality in healthcare, actively participate in continuous quality and safety improvement activities within the workplace and notify a relevant clinical or non-clinical responsible officer when concerns exist about workplace or patient safety.
- Practice in accordance with code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting nursing practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within scope of position.
Salary between $85 236 - $109 330 p.a. or $3267.10 - $4190.60 p.f. (f/t) or salary rates: $42.98 - $55.13 p.h. (p/t), employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 5) (Multiple Permanent and Fixed Term Temporary Part-time and/ or Full-time positions available, hours variable up to 76 hours p.f.).
