Charters Towers Health Service is a level 3 CSCF, non‑birthing, 23‑bed rural hospital that provides a range of ambulatory services. These services include community health nursing, child health nursing, midwifery group practice (non‑birthing), advanced health worker services, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech pathology and onsite social work.

- Base salary range: $70.58 - $76.63 p.h. (Nurse Grade 7)
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading

About your opportunity
The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) provides advanced nursing leadership, clinical expertise, mentoring, and professional support within the multidisciplinary team. The role delivers nursing resource, education, research, and strategic management functions to ensure the provision of high‑quality, evidence‑based care for clients of the Charters Towers Health Service.
The CNC works closely with the Nurse Unit Manager as part of the senior facility management team, collaborating with the broader multidisciplinary workforce to support service delivery and clinical excellence.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position and registration with AHPRA.
- On call: Appointees may be required to participate in an on-call
Highly desirable:
- Possession of a relevant postgraduate qualification in an appropriate field. Such experience may be discipline-specific or have a service area focus.
- Extensive experience in an Emergency Department.
