The Nursing Director Child and Youth are seeking a Team Leader / Nurse Unit Manager (Community, Child, Youth and Family) to join them. In this role you will provide quality leadership, governance and strategic planning of services delivered by the Community Child, Youth and Family Health Team with an emphasis on safe, quality, cost-effective, evidence-based care in a multidisciplinary environment. This is your time to join the dedicated team of professionals at Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service.

About your opportunity:

In this position you will….. 

  • Facilitate professional partnerships and work collaboratively with key internal and external stakeholders to lead the Community Child, Youth and Family Health Team in the provision of a model of care that is responsive to client's needs, effective, efficient, and sustainable enabling integrated and coordinated service delivery across child, youth, and family services in the region.
  • Contribute to the clinical continuum of care, applying a high-level clinical knowledge and skills relevant to field of practice utilising evidence-based principles as part of the multidisciplinary team.
  • Promote and practise principles from the family partnership model in team leadership and all aspects of client service delivery.
  • Ensure governance and management systems are in place to effectively manage client/staff safety and organisation risk within government legislation and Queensland Health policy requirements.
