About the role:
- Deliver high-quality general dental services, including advanced assessments, complex extractions, and minor oral surgery.
- Provide comprehensive dental treatment for patients under general anaesthesia and relative analgesia.
- Manage complex, high-risk clinical referrals from Senior Dentists and Dentists across the service.
- Provide expert clinical leadership, supervision, and mentorship to Dentists, Dental Prosthetists, and Students.
- Lead the development, coordination, and delivery of the annual graduate mentoring program.
- Provide expert clinical advice to the Oral Health Service Manager to guide strategic, operational planning.
- Maintain contemporary, evidence-based practice through continuous professional development and clinical guidelines.
About you:
- You hold advanced clinical skills across the full general dental scope, including minor oral surgery.
- You are a proven mentor passionate about supervising students and leading junior clinicians toward independent practice.
- You possess a deep understanding of public health dentistry and publicly funded health systems.
- You exhibit sound clinical judgment and risk management principles when managing complex, high-risk cases.
- You bring exceptional communication skills, with a natural ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams.
- You hold current registration as a Dentist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- You possess, or can obtain, a radiation apparatus user licence and a Medicare provider number.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $207,702 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $89.07 - $91.81 p,h
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
