Your new Role:
As Senior Pharmacist – Antimicrobial Stewardship, you will deliver expert, evidence-based AMS services across Redland Hospital and Bayside Health Service. You'll lead clinical decision-making, optimise antimicrobial prescribing, and contribute to service innovation through quality improvement, research, and education. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, including Infectious Diseases specialists, you will monitor antimicrobial use, report on outcomes, and strengthen governance frameworks. This role also provides leadership through supervision, training, and mentoring of pharmacists and students, while advancing AMS strategies that improve patient safety and care outcomes.
About You:
You are an experienced and motivated pharmacist with a passion for antimicrobial stewardship, committed to improving patient outcomes through evidence-based practice and clinical leadership.
- Demonstrated expertise in AMS and infectious diseases in complex settings
- Strong clinical judgement with ability to manage competing priorities
- Proven ability to lead, educate and support multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience in quality improvement, research, and service development
