About us:
Hospital in the Home (HITH) provides direct patient care to inpatients in their home environment. The service provides community-based care for inpatients in their home from Palm Cove to the north, Gordonvale to the south and the base of Lamb Range to the west.
We're committed to improving the health and wellbeing of people in Far North Queensland by providing high quality acute health care services.
About your role:
- Provide clinical governance to all HITH patients, including their safe and timely transfer to and from other providers.
- Demonstrate advanced application of professional and clinical leadership.
- Work closely with the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) and HITH Senior Medical Officers (SMO) on service developments and safety and quality matters.
- Engage in and develop quality assurance programs for HITH, including audits and clinical meetings.
- Monitor and investigate all clinical incidents and actively support risk management processes.
- Lead and support continuous quality improvement and research.
