As a Clinical Nurse – Mental Health, you'll play a vital role in strengthening mental health outcomes for people living in the Southern Downs. From guiding recovery‑focused care to collaborating across services, you'll be part of a team that values connection, professionalism and progress.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
- Providing compassionate, evidence‑informed mental health care in community settings that supports recovery and independence
- Coordinating care with colleagues and partner services to achieve meaningful, person‑centred outcomes
- Applying advanced clinical judgement to manage complexity, risk and shared decision‑making with confidence
- Leading by example, supporting quality improvements and modelling best practice across the team
Let's Talk About You
You're a clinician who blends capability with compassion. You act with integrity, value dignity, and bring courage to complex situations. You're proud of creating safe, respectful care that helps people regain control of their lives and feel supported in their community. This is a role where your leadership, curiosity and commitment to growth will be recognised and encouraged.
Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the relevant national board
- Strong experience in adult mental health, with confidence working in community‑based or recovery‑focused settings
- Advanced clinical judgement, communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across disciplines
You'll stand out if you have experience in rural or regional practice and/or postgraduate study or credentialing in mental health nursing.
Most importantly, you'll bring compassion, integrity, dignity, innovation and courage to everything you do—creating positive change for consumers, colleagues and the wider community.
