What your day could look like
As a Senior Social Worker, you'll play a vital role in supporting people and families through complex health experiences, strengthening care across the local community and broader health service. From advanced clinical decision‑making to shaping how services respond to need, your work will have a lasting impact.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
- Delivering high‑level social work care that supports people through complex, often life‑changing situations
- Partnering with clinicians, services and community networks to achieve the best possible outcomes
- Guiding and improving social work practice through leadership, quality initiatives and shared learning
- Supporting capability and confidence in others through supervision, mentoring and professional insight
Let's Talk About You
You're a confident, values‑driven social worker who brings clarity, compassion and purpose to your practice. You balance strong clinical judgment with genuine human connection, especially when situations are complex or emotionally challenging. You take pride in improving care, supporting others to grow, and contributing to a service that puts people first. What matters to you is making a meaningful difference and leaving systems better than you found them.
Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
- Eligibility for professional social work membership and a recognised social work qualification
- Proven experience delivering advanced social work services across diverse health settings
- The ability to work collaboratively, communicate clearly and lead with integrity and respect
You'll stand out from the crowd if you have experience in regional or rural practice and/or a strong interest in service improvement, leadership or clinical education.
Above all, you'll bring the values we live by every day: compassion, integrity, dignity, innovation and courage—helping shape care that truly supports people and communities.
This role is about trusted leadership, meaningful impact, and contributing to a health service that genuinely values what you do.
