You will receive a competitive remuneration package value from $381,337 (L18) up to $476,304 (L27) comprising salary rates between $103.79 (L18) and $131.60 p.h. (L27), motor vehicle allowance, professional development allowance, professional development leave 3.6 weeks p.a., regional attraction allowance, professional indemnity cover and private practice arrangements. Superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) will be applied additionally to the total remuneration value. This is a permanent full or part time, hours negotiable

What your day could look like

As a Psychiatrist – Child and Youth Mental Health, you'll support the wellbeing of children, young people and families across the Darling Downs. Your work helps deliver safe, recovery‑focused care and strengthens access to specialist mental health services in regional communities.

Every day, you'll:

  • Provide specialist psychiatric care that improves outcomes for young people
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, families and partners to coordinate care
  • Offer clinical leadership through guidance, supervision and shared decision‑making
  • Contribute to service improvement, quality and innovative practice

To thrive in this role, you'll bring:

  • Specialist registration or eligibility as a Psychiatrist, with child and youth mental health experience
  • Strong clinical judgement across community and/or inpatient settings
  • Clear communication skills and a team‑focused approach
