About the role
Casual opportunity to assist in the provision of a high-quality nutrition and food service to patients/residents/clients of the facility by assisting in the preparation, plating, presentation, and delivery of meals/food services. To clean and maintain specified areas within the facility.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Participate in a range of operational duties as part of direct duties, or to assist staff in other duties. This will include, food preparation, stock receiving and storage, stock rotation & control, serving meals, trolley delivery/collection to ward, serving meals and beverages to residents, dishwashing etc.
- Undertake designated duties under the supervision and direction of the Supervisory team within the scope of Food Services responsibilities ensuring ensure a high standard of Food safety and service delivery is achieved in accordance with current legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Responsible for cleaning duties in allocated areas as part of direct duties or to assist staff. This will include ward kitchens, main kitchen, storerooms, and equipment.
