Your new role:
As a Registered Nurse within the Respiratory Inpatient Unit, you'll deliver safe, compassionate, and person-centred care within a supportive multidisciplinary team. You'll apply your clinical expertise to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, while continuing to grow your skills from a graduate to an experienced practitioner.
Key responsibilities include:
- Deliver high-quality, person-centred nursing care across diverse clinical needs
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care using critical thinking
- Collaborate with medical, nursing and allied health teams for optimal outcomes
- Take accountability for clinical decisions and delegated care
- Support quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice

The Department of Respiratory, Sleep and Mycobacterial Medicine is made up of the units listed below;
- Respiratory Inpatient Unit (Ward 2D) – inclusive of the Respiratory Acute Care Unit (RACU)
- Respiratory Outpatient Department (2F)
- Sleep Disorders Centre
- Metro South Clinical Tuberculosis Service (MSCTBS)
