About the role:

Are you ready to lead the way in cancer pharmacy? As the Pharmacist Advanced – Cancer Care Team Leader, you'll oversee a satellite oncology dispensary and deliver expert clinical services across Rockhampton Hospital and outreach locations like Emerald, Biloela, and Theodore.

You'll use your advanced judgment to assess complex cases, mentor a team of pharmacists and assistants, and develop clinical policies. Your leadership will ensure safe, compassionate, patient-centred care that considers the whole person.

Manage team operations, handle workforce planning and analyse data to improve services, plus stay current with industry trends, contribute to research, and lead innovative projects that shape the future of cancer care.

About you:

  • You have a degree in pharmacy from a recognised university (or equivalent) and are registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a pharmacist, or eligible to register in Australia. Tick!
  • A postgraduate diploma or Masters in a pharmacy-related field is not mandatory but appreciated (cancer care or oncology experience is a big plus!)
  • Advanced communication skills, highly organized and with experience working in innovative care models and complex multidisciplinary teams.
  • Clinical expertise in oncology is top-notch, you're confident applying your knowledge independently to deliver high-quality, evidence-based, patient-centred cancer pharmacy services.
  • Strong leadership skills and enjoy developing and growing new service improvements and research initiatives, always looking for opportunities to innovate.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $172,615 p.a. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $73.12 - $76.30 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
