The Senior Correspondence Officer role is responsible for the management and processing of all incoming and outgoing correspondence for the Office of the Chief Procurement Officer.
As a Senior Correspondence Officer you will:
- Maintain an effective electronic document record management system (Content Manager) and manage computerised systems to implement efficient email, tasks and document tracking whilst adhering to protocols that support preparation of correspondence.
- Using discretion, autonomously redirect and respond to matters on behalf of the CSD Deputy Director-General, within defined boundaries, and escalate matters to the Director Office of the Chief Procurement Officer, System Procurement, as appropriate.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with colleagues in business areas across the Department of Health to manage and ensure high quality, seamless, timely and efficient correspondence services are delivered.

In this role you will deliver outcomes through a high level of autonomy, professional judgement and collaboration, providing specialist support within a strategically managed correspondence function.
Essential requirements for this role include:
- Demonstrated experience in managing high volumes of incoming and outgoing correspondence, including proof-reading, formatting, editing and quality assurance.
- Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with officers at all levels.
- Demonstrated time management skills and the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively as a team member to prioritise work, achieve required outcomes and meet deadlines.
