Your new role:
This role is responsible for leading and coordinating the administrative function within the Specialist Outpatients Department to ensure the delivery of high-quality, client-focused services.
- Lead and supervise the administrative team, ensuring effective day-to-day operations, staff performance, and a supportive team environment
- Oversee administrative functions including appointment scheduling, reception, billing, and communication flow while ensuring compliance with policies and procedures
- Act as the primary point of contact for the unit, managing incoming and outgoing communications and liaising with internal and external stakeholders
- Drive continuous improvement through quality initiatives, data integrity management, and contribution to strategic objectives and performance outcomes
About you:
We are seeking a proactive and capable administrative leader who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and is committed to delivering high-quality service outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience in leading administrative teams, including staff supervision, performance management, and fostering a positive team culture
- Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and maintain effective stakeholder relationships
- Proven ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively, applying sound judgement and contributing to process improvements and change initiatives
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to confidentiality, equity, and compliance with relevant policies and standards

The Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital (QEII) is a medium metropolitan adult facility providing a range of inpatient and outpatient services including a 24-hour Emergency Department. We provide a range of services, including surgery, cardiology, endoscopy, orthopaedics, gynaecology, urology, geriatric, respiratory and emergency medicine.
We're making our hospital bigger and better to make it easier for our growing community to get the health care they need. We'll have more beds, medical wards and expanded intensive care and emergency services planned to be opened by 2027.
