About the role
This role offers a unique opportunity to combine advanced clinical pharmacy practice with impactful infectious diseases research, with a particular focus on bloodstream infections and the Rapid Detection and Response to Bloodstream Infections (RESPOND‑BSI) research program.
You will work within a highly collaborative environment spanning clinical services, research, education, and quality improvement — contributing to improved patient outcomes at a state, national, and international level.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Participate in the Rapid Detection And Response to BloodStream Infections (RESPOND-BSI) research project and other relevant clinical research projects within your specialty area, identified in the HeIDI strategic plan and research agenda. The outcomes of this research should influence the knowledge base of clinical processes, standards of clinical practice and service delivery. Research should provide impact at a state, national and/or international level and research findings should be shared at internal and external meetings
- Inpatient, outpatient and consultative clinical services in relevant clinical service
- Contribute to a positive organisational culture, role model appropriate behaviour in accordance with Metro North HHS values and with the Code of Conduct for the Queensland Public Service
- Provide research leadership, mentoring, assistance and supervision to other researchers and/or clinicians from various disciplines
