We're excited to welcome a Social Worker Senior to Emergency Department, Allied Health - Social Work.
Sunshine Coast Health is a values-based organisation. We are committed to the maintenance of a culture in which we treat our colleagues with respect as we do our patients, consumers and the community. We respect, protect and promote human rights in our decision-making and actions.
As a highly functioning multidisciplinary team member, deliver high level Social Work clinical services and leadership across one or more specific work units, to stakeholders/customers of the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service and Queensland Health.
Social Work clinicians within the Emergency Department (Allied Health – Social Work) work as a team to meet clinical demand in keeping with Clinical Prioritisation Document. Staff will be required to work across other clinical services and facilities within Sunshine Coast Health as required to assist in meeting patient care needs, managing leave cover, and succession planning of staff. Staff may be required to rotate across Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service as per Allied Health Rotation Guidelines.
Key Responsibilities include:
- This position requires you to adhere to National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards and the Sunshine Coast Health Safe Care Framework, which has been developed in collaboration with staff, consumers and key stakeholders to enable our vision of health and wellbeing through person-centred care.
- Deliver independent high level Social Work clinical practice with infrequent need for direct clinical practice supervision. Exercise professional judgement to a complex caseload, adapting routine clinical practice based on valid and reliable evidence.
- Participate in a shift-worker roster (covering 24/7) with the provision of face-to-face clinical services to patients/consumers of the Sunshine Coast University Hospital (with potential out-reach to other facilities as required) and the provision of telephone support to other SCHHS facilities.
- Triage and deliver high quality social work clinical services as part of the Emergency Department multidisciplinary team – in order to optimise the psychosocial outcomes for patients and their families.
Remuneration value up to $41 410 p.a, comprising salary rates $64.64 - $69.55 p.h., (part time, 20 hrs p.f.), employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP4). Applications will remain current for 12 months. Please note: only applications from candidates will be accepted (applications that may result in an agency fee will not be considered).
