We are excited to welcome an Advanced Allied Health Assistant to our Allied Health multidisciplinary team! The Advanced Allied Health Assistant will be based in our Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit, but may be required to rotate to other subacute services within the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service.
The Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit provides intensive therapeutic management to patients with a wide range of diagnoses including (but not limited to) strokes, traumatic brain injuries and other acquired brain injuries, deconditioning from acute medical conditions, amputations, post orthopaedic surgeries and progressive neurological conditions.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Providing a defined range of specialised clinical screening assessments for patients with complex needs, as delegated and allowed by testing guidelines and legislation.
- Providing a range of treatments for patients with complex conditions, including using decision support tools, clinical pathways, and patient guidelines.
- Identifying potential changes needed in treatment programs using results from standardised assessment tools and gain endorsement to make these changes following discussion with the supervising Allied Health Professional.
Remuneration value up to $92 813 p.a., comprising salary between $2916.00 - $3118.00 p.f., employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (CA4) (Fixed Term Temporary position available for up to 11 months).
