About the role
As an Administration Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the day‑to‑day operations of a busy healthcare environment by delivering reliable, organised and people‑focused administrative services. Working across a variety of clinical and non‑clinical settings, you will be a key point of contact for patients, families and staff, ensuring information, records and processes are managed accurately and efficiently.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Provide customer service in a clear and helpful manner, communicating effectively with patients, families and staff.
- Manage correspondence, including proofreading, grammar, formatting letters and responding to emails.
- Perform a range of administrative duties, which may include reception, admissions, referral centre, scheduling, medical records, finance, ward administration, emergency trauma centre and call centre/switchboard services.
- In some roles, perform confidential secretariat tasks, including preparing and distributing agendas and documents.
- Use and maintain clinical and information database systems with integrity.
