Working closely with your multidisciplinary team, you will complete assessments, formulation and timely, evidence-based interventions, using a range of therapeutic approaches, including attachment and trauma-focused work to support children, families and interagency systems.

About us:

Central Queensland Evolve Therapeutic Services works alongside Child and Youth Mental Health services, with teams based in Emerald, Gladstone, and Rockhampton. As one of four dedicated Child and Youth Services, alongside Child and Youth Mental Health Service, Assertive Mobile Youth Outreach Service, and Youth Alcohol and Other Drugs Service - Evolve plays a vital role in supporting young people across the region.

Our multidisciplinary team brings together specialists in Social Work, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Nursing, and Psychiatry, delivering collaborative, wrap-around care.

Evolve Therapeutic Services provides intensive, trauma-informed mental health support for children and young people aged 0–18 years, referred through Child Safety Services (Department of Children, Youth Justice and Multicultural Affairs).

About the role:

  • Deliver independent clinical services including assessment, formulation, and evidence-based treatment interventions.
  • Utilise therapeutic modalities such as trauma-focused work with children, families, and interagency systems.
  • Provide professional advice and reports to contribute to complex multidisciplinary case management.
  • Supervise undergraduate students and junior staff to support the future of the mental health workforce.
  • Contribute to service evaluation and quality improvement activities to enhance care for young people.

About you:

  • You are qualified and hold current AHPRA registration (Nursing, Psychology, or Occupational Therapy) or are eligible for membership with the AASW (Social Work).
  • You possess specialist knowledge and skill in mental health clinical areas pertaining to children and young people.
  • You have a demonstrated ability to provide comprehensive assessment and treatment planning for complex cases.
  • You are a team player who thrives in a multidisciplinary environment and values clinical supervision.
  • You are committed to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $173,368 p.a. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $68.86 - $76.63 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
