About us:
Biloela Hospital is the vital Banana region hub for emergency, maternity, diagnostic, and surgical services. Our Maternity and Midwifery Group Practice is dedicated to providing safe, evidence-based, and culturally competent care close to home. We are a team that values teamwork, innovation, and a shared passion for regional healthcare.
About the role:
- Lead and deliver advanced person-centred midwifery care across antenatal, birthing, and postnatal settings.
- Provide clinical leadership and expert decision-making in the absence of the Nurse Grade 7.
- Coordinate quality and safety performance in alignment with State-Wide Maternity Guidelines.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to review work practices and support the continuum of care.
- Engage in on-call clinical hours and community visiting to ensure continuity for local women.
- Participate in data collection and auditing aligned with National Quality Health Standards.
About you:
- You are a Registered Midwife with current AHPRA registration.
- You demonstrate advanced knowledge of contemporary midwifery practice and evidence-based theory.
- You possess strong self-management skills and the ability to work effectively within a flexible on-call partnership.
- You have well-developed communication skills that allow you to interact effectively with families and stakeholders.
- You show a deep commitment to honesty, integrity, and respect for all patients and staff.
- You are an autonomous practitioner capable of exercising high-level professional judgment in clinical environments.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $185,772 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $77.60 - $83.09 p.h. (includes 35% caseload allowance)
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
