About the role
As a Senior Podiatrist at RBWH, you will provide advanced clinical assessment and treatment for patients with complex foot conditions within a hospital outpatient setting, with inpatient consultation as required. You will play a key role in supporting high-quality, evidence-based podiatry practice through clinical leadership, professional collaboration and education.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Develop effective professional relationships with patients and other healthcare providers in the multi-disciplinary team to influence clinical outcomes
- Apply clinical evidence to initiate service improvement activities to improve the knowledge base within ambulatory podiatry services of MNHHS and contribute to quality research
- Provide timely clinical advice to professional and operational supervisors, relevant service managers, members of the multi-disciplinary team and other stakeholders
- Apply high-level knowledge and skill to provide advice and communicate, in both verbal and written formats, with colleagues and clinical partners regarding the clinical care of patients
- Utilise higher level negotiation skills within the team and with external partners to influence outcomes
