Social Work has an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Social Worker to join the Domestic and Family Violence Team. Permanent Full or Part Time, Temporary contracts and flexible hours are up for grabs.
This role puts you right in the driver’s seat. Lead the charge in shaping how the health system responds to Domestic and Family Violence, building capability, supporting staff, and making sure patients are met with safe, informed and compassionate care. You will deliver training, guide best practice and collaborate with services across the region influencing system-wide change.
But wait, there’s more! This position can be established from either Rockhampton, Gladstone, Emerald, Biloela or Capricorn Coast (whatever works for you!).

About the role:
As the Senior Social Worker (Domestic & Family Violence), you will lead and coordinate how CQHHS responds to DFV, building a safer, smarter, and more compassionate approach across the entire service.
Your mission? Lift the capability of the health workforce so every patient experiencing DFV is met with confidence, care, and the right response. You'll work within key frameworks, collaborate with government and community partners, and make sure information flows where it needs to go, safely and effectively.
You'll also be a leader within Allied Health, mentoring others, providing clinical supervision, and helping drive quality improvements that keep services running at their best. From delivering high-level clinical care aligned with AASW standards, to designing and rolling out DFV training for frontline staff, you'll be influencing practice on the ground every day. Help shape policies, strengthen partnerships and support teams managing complex, high-risk situations.
Track outcomes, analyse what's working, and continuously improve the DFV response across the region. And there's variety too, with opportunities to travel and connect with teams across Central Queensland.
About you:
- You're a qualified Social Worker with the credentials to back it up. AASW eligibility is a must!
- You know your stuff when it comes to DFV. We're talking strong, up-to-date knowledge and real expertise in responding to complex situations with confidence.
- You can design and deliver engaging training sessions that stick with people.
- You've got the skills to kick off improvements, see them through, and make things better for everyone involved.
- Your people skills are next level. You communicate clearly, build trust easily, and collaborate like a pro across teams and organisations .

What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $157,359 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $64.64 - $69.55 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
