Metro South Health is seeking an experienced Clinical Midwife to join the Birth Suites, Maternity Assessment Centre and Bereavement Support team at Logan Hospital. This permanent part-time Clinical Midwife Grade 6 role (48 hours per fortnight) provides advanced clinical leadership and specialised bereavement support while delivering high-quality, woman-centred maternity care within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment.

Your new role:

In this role you will provide advanced midwifery care and leadership, supporting women and families across the maternity journey, including bereavement care.

• Deliver advanced woman-centred midwifery care across birth suites and assessment areas
• Provide specialist bereavement support and coordinate care for families experiencing loss
• Lead clinical practice, education and quality improvement within the maternity team

About you:

You will be an experienced midwife with strong clinical leadership skills and a commitment to compassionate, evidence-based care.

• Advanced clinical skills delivering complex antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and provide clinical leadership
• Commitment to education, research and continuous quality improvement

Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.

We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.

Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion.
