We're excited to welcome a Clinical Nurse (CN) to our Acute & Restorative Care of the Elderly (ARC) unit.

The CN leads and delivers person centred nursing care at an advanced level based on the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia Registered Nurse Standards for Practice.
The Acute and Restorative Care (ARC) unit is a specialise sub-acute 42 bed Unit at Nambour General Hospital which is part of Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service and Medical Services Group (MSG).
The ARC unit provides:
- Geriatric Evaluation and Management (GEM) care in which the primary clinical purpose or treatment goal is improvement in the functioning of a patient with multi-dimensional needs associated with medical conditions related to ageing, such as tendency to fall, incontinence, reduced mobility and cognitive impairment. The patient may also have complex psychosocial problems.
- Rehabilitation Care in which the primary clinical purpose or treatment goal is improvement in the functioning of a patient with an impairment, activity limitation or participation restriction due to a health condition where the patient is capable of actively participating.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Adhere to defined service quality standards, health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being understand to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.
- Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Schedule 2, Nurses and Midwives (Queensland Health Award) – State 2015 – Generic Level Statements Nurse Grade 6, Band 1 and the Queensland Public Service values.
- Understand your broad responsibilities for safety and quality in healthcare, actively participate in continuous quality and safety improvement activities within the workplace and notify a relevant clinical or non-clinical responsible officer when concerns exist about workplace or patient safety.
Remuneration value up to $139,252 p.a., comprising salary between $113,979 - $122,048 p.a. (f/t), or salary rates: $57.48- $61.55 p.h. (p/t), employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 6 (1) (Permanent full time, 76 hrs p.f. and/or part time position available, hours negotiable).
