The purpose of this role is to support pre-analytical processing of clinical specimens within the Molecular Diagnostic Unit and Serology laboratory, ensuring accurate and timely preparation, handling and registration of samples to support diagnostic testing.
What you'll do
In this role you will receive and register specimens, prepare samples for extraction, aliquoting and testing, label and dispatch specimens to referral laboratories, maintain laboratory equipment and work areas, manage stock and consumables, and support quality and safety standards within a multidisciplinary laboratory team.
About you
We are searching for someone who:
- Has experience or the ability to perform laboratory support duties
- Has strong attention to detail and data entry skills
- Can follow procedures and work accurately with minimal supervision
- Has good communication and teamwork skills
- Can work in a fast-paced laboratory environment
- Has experience in molecular, microbiology or serology labs (desirable)
