About the role
This position works in the West Moreton Health Intellectual and Developmental Disability Mental Health Service (WMH IDDMHS). The purpose of this role is to provide high quality, patient focussed occupational therapy services within the IDDMHS consistent with contemporary standards, policies, and best practice to achieve evidenced based person-centred outcomes.
The WM IDDMHS provides support to West Moreton Health Service's Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs Service (MHAODS) to assist with the care of people with an intellectual and/or developmental disability and have possible, or are diagnosed with, mental health disorders. It operates a consultation/liaison model.
The WM IDDMHS has the potential to visit all areas of the West Moreton Health. Where possible, the WM IDDMHS will assess the person in their home or suitable local setting, and there is an option for use of telehealth when clinically appropriate.

Mandatory Requirements:
- Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association within Australia. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
